爱华网认识了一位运动男孩。我们都很喜欢日本动画片《灌蓝高手》（Slamdunk）中的樱木花道。他喜欢打蓝球。我也喜欢蓝球，不过看球赛只是为了看帅哥。
跟喜欢运动的人聊天挑战很高，因为对方时不时搞出很多有关运动的术语来形容一些事情让人摸不着头脑。
Slamdunk灌蓝，引申出去可以形容一些强有力带有戏剧性的行为。
Kick off开始足球赛、开波！平时我们可以用来形容一件事的开始。
a darkhorse一匹黑马。这是个赛马术语。在日常生活中指意外获胜或表现突出的人或事。
neck andneck叮噹马头。也是赛马用语，指斗得难分难解。
Just to win by a nose isenough for us.即使是仅仅赢个马鼻已是足够。（意指：险胜）
They are not up toscratch.他们不是对手。同样是赛马用语，指马未够质素胜出。用于日常生活中，指没有资格升职或做某事。如：you are notup to scratch.你还不够格。
Don’t worry, we’re in thehome stretchnow.不用担心，我们已经进入最后直路。赛马用语，指进入最后阶段，也可以形容一件事情的压轴部分。
You’re just stalling fortime.原意指比赛时拖延时间，也可解作犹豫不决。
You have to play thegame.意思是叫人accept the rules接受条件，按本子办事。
Think of a solutionbefore you jump the gun跑步比赛中的“偷步”“抢跑”。亦可以用来形容做事情冲动鲁莽。
I would say this is awhole new ball game.这是一项全新的工作。
I think we should get theball rolling.我认为我们应该开始一个新的计划。我们应该开始工作了。
You are the one whoshould carry the ball.你是这个计划的负责人。
Before I take the balland run, I am going to take atime-out【】.在我着手做（正确的）事之前，我得休息一会。
Now the ball is in yourcourt.网球术语。用在日常指“到你来作下一步行动了”
Call the shots.蓝球术语。Youcall the shots.= you decide who is going toshoot.你决定谁来射球。引申出去则是意指you make the decision.你作决定。
