brutal 和cruel 用法辨析

这两个形容词都可形容某种行为或态度“残忍的”、“残酷的”。
brutal多用于形容某种行为或态度极端残忍、野蛮，强调缺乏理性，手段残暴，
谴责口吻强烈。
1）What a brutal murderer the man is who kill the sealsindiscriminately!
一个男子肆意屠杀海豹，多么残暴的一个凶手。
2）Hisson was beaten to death by a hand of brutalruffians.
他的儿子被一伙残忍的暴徒活活打死。

cruel一般用词，可用形容各种程度的行为或态度残忍的，侧重指冷漠无情。相对
来说。语气比brutal轻，使用比brutal广。
